- Before enrolling in their first math course at TCC, students must take a mathematics placement test unless they have passed a college-level mathematics class within the last two years. 90 quarter credit hours in courses numbered 100 or above, including the distribution requirements listed below.
- Courses may be chosen from ASTRO, GEOPH, MA PH or PHYS. Many of the courses have MATH pre- or corequisites so students must plan accordingly and might wish to pair the Physics minor with a major in Mathematics.

- Students majoring in mathematics take courses in the logical foundations of mathematics, the calculus sequence, matrix algebra, and discrete mathematics. Majors choose from a concentration of applied, traditional, or actuarial mathematics.
